Job Summary
Reporting to the Provincial Manager - Fleet & Logistics, the Operations Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive fleet management strategy and ensuring optimal performance and reliability of ambulances and support vehicles. They will plan and schedule preventative maintenance and ensure vehicles meet regulatory standards. They will maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, maintenance and repairs. They will also be responsible for overseeing a team of Logistics Technicians and Equipment Operators within the Fleet & Logistics division.

Job Qualifications
Education
* Undergraduate Degree, Diploma, or Certificate in Business Administration, Healthcare, or related discipline, is considered an asset.
* Completion of an Accredited Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), Primary Care Paramedic (PCP), or Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) program, is considered an asset.
* NAFA Certified Automotive Fleet Manager (CAFM) or Certified Automotive Fleet Specialist (CAFS), Journeyperson Automotive or Heavy-Duty Technician (red or blue seal) certification, is considered an asset.

Experience
* Proven experience (3-5 years) as a Fleet Supervisor, or similar role, preferably in an emergency services or healthcare environment
* Experience with vehicle telematics, AVL, and similar technology.

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
* Strong knowledge of fleet maintenance software, preventive maintenance practices, and vehicle repair procedures.
* Knowledge of NLHS, DOHCS Provincial Ambulance Policies and Procedures and all related legislation.
* Computer literacy in a Windows environment including Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Excel, and Word.
* Excellent organizational and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure.
* Demonstrated skills in conflict management and ability to work with all stakeholders.
* Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills.
* Ability to manage change through leading and empowering staff.
* Ability to interpret policy and procedure issues and educate staff.
* Ability to engage staff in improvement and development of service provision.

Other
* A satisfactory record of work performance and attendance is required.
* Possess a valid Class 5 Drivers license with a clear drivers abstract. Candidates must be eligible to apply for a Class 4 and acquire such within 3 months of employment.
* Some inter-provincial travel may be required.
