Within the Educational Services Division, a team of Instructional Designers, Graphic-Multimedia Designers, and Web Developer/Programmers collaborates to design and develop educational resources such as online courses, instructional videos, printed guides for teachers and families, posters, brochures, forms, assessments, event branding, and reports.

What you will do:

As a member of the Design Team, the successful candidate will support the team by designing and developing visual and multimedia resources. They will design and lay out digital and printed resources, create and/or modify images, and apply visual styles appropriate for various types of content. The Graphic-Multimedia Designer will also be responsible for verifying and processing images, drawings, etc. to be added to visual assets while ensuring compliance with graphic standards and copyright.

The successful candidate's primary responsibilities will include:

  • Interacting with various stakeholders (internal clients, Instructional Designers, and Web Developers/Programmers) to determine and understand project technical and communication requirements.
  • Providing recommendations based on their expertise in the field.
  • Collaboratively designing solutions that meet client goals.
  • Providing conceptual design for online courses in response to team's requests.
  • Estimating the time and effort required to implement proposed solutions.
  • Managing time effectively while performing multiple projects.

Your attitude, skills and interests are just as important as your area of study. We are looking for diverse backgrounds that bring a combination of the following:

Need to have:

  • A university degree in graphic design, or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years of related experience.
  • OR
  • A college diploma in graphic design, or a related discipline and minimum of four (4) years of related experience.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, etc.).
  • Familiarity with html.
  • Portfolio of previous achievements.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training and experience in a field such as adult education/coaching may be considered.

Written and spoken competence in English is required. Please state your language capability.

Nice to have:

  • Experience with D2L/Brightspace or another LMS platform.
  • Familiarity with Articulate 360/Storyline 360/Rise 360.
  • Video editing and production skills.
  • Expertise in marketing, user experience/UX, and/or web design.
  • Experience preparing projects for print.

Wage:
Pay Band 3: $50,648 ¿ $70,772 annually.

Work environment:

  • Office location: 250 King Street, Fredericton
  • Standard hours of work: Monday - Friday, 8:15-4:30
  • Small team of approximately 14
  • Remote or hybrid work possible
