DUTIES
Reporting to the HSIMS Manager of Technology Solutions, the successful applicant will be responsible for providing direct consulting and support to faculty, staff, and students within the Faculty of Medicine on a variety of computing topics. Duties include providing excellent customer service and client communications while troubleshooting problems related to software, systems configuration and network connectivity; providing wireless client support; working with a team of subject area specialists to identify solutions and deliver required PC support service levels; diagnosing complex problems; recommending and implementing corrective measures to enhance the user experience and system stability; providing information, advice and training regarding computer applications; providing support on a service desk on a rotating basis; ensuring the security and inventory of computer hardware and software; and performing other related duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Experience (up to 1 year) in personal computing, network support and troubleshooting; graduation from a four year university or college program with significant work in Computer Science; or any equivalent combination of experience and training. Knowledge of Microsoft operating systems and applications, and wireless technology is required. Knowledge of computer configurations; components; peripherals, network and software products are also required. Excellent customer service skills along with superior interpersonal and communications skills are essential. Experience with Infosilem and service desk software are considered assets.
SALARY $52, 675 - $61,793 (CUPE Local 1615)
