The Office of Student Experience at Mount Saint Vincent University invites applications for the position of Residence Life Administrator

Responsibilities

This position supports the smooth administrative flow of the Residence Life Office and all operational functions. The Residence Life Administrator (RLOA) is responsible to establish and maintain all administrative processes and functions of the busy Residence Life Office. The RLOA is the critical contact for students and is responsible for the triage and troubleshooting of all residence student life issues. The RLOA is responsible for establishing and maintaining all communication and correspondence with prospective and current students as well as daily contact with the Residence Life Team.

The Residence Life Administrator supports the Residence Life Manager in all efforts to attract, retain and engage students. This position requires continual system(s) evaluation, creativity and ingenuity and independent initiative to enhance and foster our vibrant and inclusive residence life community.

The Residence Life Administrator is the primary contact for important statistical data; survey implementation, delivery and collection; assist in the processing of all essential correspondence and documentation (i.e. room assignment, leases, handbooks, website, etc.); organizing meetings and committees, residence opening and closing and various student engagement events and activities.

Qualifications

You possess a relevant 2 years Community College Diploma with two years of related progressive experience working in an educational setting with experience in residence life. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), records keeping and systems management. Some University experience and/or social media content creation experience would be considered an asset. You are passionate about student success and enjoy working with a diverse student body. You possess effective communication skills, interpersonal skills, customer services, multitasking, and long-term tracking skills. Candidates should be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and have an aptitude for, or previous experience, using business enterprise systems such as Colleague and SharePoint.
