OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR
The Office of the Registrar provides administrative and coordination services in support of the UNB learning community. Services that we provide to students, faculty and staff include admission, academic advising (Saint John), timetabling and course set up, academic room assignment, final examinations, coordination of graduations, regulation and policy advice, as well as reporting and information requests.

WHAT WE OFFER

Full-time | Continuing | Saint John | On-Campus

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:00 am - 4:00 pm | 36.25 hours per week

Additional Working Conditions:

  • Ability to travel locally and domestically on a limited basis.
  • Flexibility in working hours for special projects and during peak admission periods (may include evening and weekends).

Salary Range: $22.75 - $28.42 per hour

YOUR FOCUS

Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Admissions Advisor advises both domestic and international students on the completion of applications, admissions requirements, transfer credit assessments, graduation and academic standing.

  • Assess student standing and admissions based on existing policy and practice.
  • Assess and understand academic credentials for various countries and provinces.
  • Serve as the main point of support for the admissions process for applicants from specific countries and provinces or for specific academic programs as assigned.
  • Manage new educational partnerships under the guidance of the Associate Registrar.
  • Advise on the development and maintenance of all admissions policies, processes and practices.
  • Deliver operational support on student centric, faculty centric and consolidated operations.
  • Provide status letters and other official correspondence with students including the acceptance packages.
  • Respond to all inquires via phone, email or in person.
  • Maintain good communications with external stakeholders such as Guidance Counselors, School Officials, Immigration Officers, Agents and other government agencies.
  • Monitor and update Agent contacts and ensure all agents are abiding by our regulations.
  • ·Monitor costs associated with the Student Admission process.
  • Assist with the preparation and delivery of student academic transcripts and other documentation.
  • Provide data entry, adjustment and analysis of student information and status in student information systems.
  • Develop and monitor other tracking systems used for special initiatives.
  • Develop knowledge of UNB Saint John practices related to the academic environment and student experience.
  • Develop an understanding of industry best practices in the field and be able to tailor and apply these practices within the UNB environment.
  • Other related duties as required.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • Undergraduate degree required.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience.
