As a Housekeeper, you will perform a combination of specialized cleaning duties. You will maintain high standards of presentation and cleanliness for the property, including all common areas and some residential areas.

Work Details
Hours: Full-time day hours, 5 days a week. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including some weekend days.
Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia
Position Requires: Criminal Records Check Completion and a Valid Drivers License. Must be comfortable driving for work (company vehicle is provided).
Environment: You will stand and walk for long periods of time, and may encounter occasional heavy lifting. Weather (seasonal duties) is a factor in the completion of your duties.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Clean properties including all common areas and some in-suite areas. Hallways, bathrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways; remove all stains and debris.
- Clean rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and/or draperies, using vacuum cleaners and/or shampooers.
- Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash & waste to disposal areas.
- Sweep and scrub, using brooms, mops, and/or powdered scrubbing and waxing machines.
- Dust and polish furniture and equipment.
- Polish silver accessories and metalwork such as fixtures and fittings.
- Replace light bulbs in common areas.
- Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines and iron and fold dried items.
- Wash windows, walls, ceilings, and woodwork, waxing & polishing as necessary.
- Remove debris from exterior areas. Ensure all outdoor areas and furniture is cleaned.
- Perform rounds of property on a regular basis to ensure cleanliness.
- Seasonally provide light landscaping i.e. raking, garbage removal, and water plant boxes.
- Request service repairs as needed.
- Ensure the highest level of safety standards are adhered to while performing all duties.
- Maintain all housekeeping equipment and ensure all required tools and equipment are in good working order.
Qualifications
- 1-2 years cleaning experience.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills
- High level of integrity, dependability, confidentiality, and reliability.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work
- Strong attention to detail with a high level of quality.
- Ability to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision.
