OFF-SITE RESEARCH CONSTRUCTION CENTRE
The Off-site Construction Research Centre (OCRC) is a multi-disciplinary research centre that conducts research in a variety of topic areas including digital technology implementation, constructability, materials, and structures testing, building envelope testing, Lean construction, policy, and standardization. The OCRC's activities focus on applied research with over 30 industry partners and is governed by an Advisory Board. The OCRC works closely with the Department of Civil Engineering.

Standard Work Hours: Mon - Fri | 8:15 am - 4:30 pm | 36.25 hours per week
Salary Range: $50,532 - $65,688 per annum (As of July 1, 2024)
YOUR FOCUS
Reporting to Director of Innovation and Operations, the Communications and Marketing Coordinator will work with the leadership of the Department of Civil Engineering, the Off-site Construction Research Centre, the UNB Communications Office and Marketing Office to advance objectives of engaging engineering alumni and local practitioners in the delivery of educational programs and industry based research by supporting outreach and communication initiatives.
- Implement effective communication strategies for several audiences (current students and researchers, future students and researchers, program alumni, industry, and public partners) in collaboration with the UNB CE and OCRC teams.
- Assist in developing and managing engagement and outreach type events including both in-person and on-line: seminars, conferences, individual technical talks, and student competitions.
- Prepare, edit, and distribute content, including publications, webinars, website content, annual reporting, and other marketing collateral.
- Provide editorial support for internal technical publications (e.g., proposals, technical papers, industry reports)
- Manage the OCRC and UNB CE social media content.
- Supervise part-time or term-based student staff as required.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A University Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
Additional Strengths
- Training, experience or familiarity in Civil Engineering and the construction industry is considered an asset.
- Experience in the development and delivery of communications materials, and the management of joint research-industry events and initiatives.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong event planning and coordination experience.
- Competent in the use of social media and related digital communication technologies.
