OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

The Senior BI Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust business intelligence solutions. This role requires a deep understanding of BI technologies, data architecture, and data modeling principles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in transforming complex data into actionable insights and driving strategic decision-making across the organization.

WHAT SKILLS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Design and develop comprehensive BI solutions, including data warehouses, data marts, and reporting systems.
  • Lead the architecture and design of ETL processes to ensure efficient data extraction, transformation, and loading.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and performance of BI solutions through rigorous testing and validation.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.
  • Mentor and guide junior BI developers and analysts to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Stay current with emerging BI technologies and trends to continuously improve and innovate BI solutions.
  • Provide strategic recommendations to senior management based on data analysis and insights.
  • Create and maintain documentation related to BI solutions, including architecture diagrams, data models, and technical specifications.

WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in business intelligence, data architecture, and data modeling.
  • Proven expertise in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, or similar.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and experience with database technologies such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes, such as Informatica, Talend, or SSIS.
  • Familiarity with cloud BI solutions and architectures (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Spark, or Kafka.
  • Knowledge of data science and machine learning concepts.
  • Certification in BI tools or data management is a plus.
  • Experince Public and Healthcare Sector
