Sobeys is full of exciting opportunities and we are always looking for bright new talent to join our team! We currently have a contract opportunity for a Network Specialist (12 months contract). This role can be based out of one our main offices including: Stellarton, NS; Calgary, AB; Mississauga, ON.
Here's where you'll be focusing:
As a Network Specialist with Sobeys you will:
- Support a National retail Network that satisfies our customer's day-to-day telecommunication requirements.
- Respond to user's network requests as they relate to voice/ data/ RF and video.
- Co-ordinate day-to-day operation of the National retail Network which includes installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining the infrastructure.
- Install any network technology equipment required to enhance performance.
- Assist with developing and testing network disaster recovery plans.
- Assist with and, if required, work to correct any problems affecting network performance.
- Establish and maintain network cabling/cabinets together with supporting documentation.
- Available and able to be on-call for troubleshooting Network issues.

- College Diploma in Computer Science.
- Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science Preferred.
- Cisco training and designation.
- Cisco router experience.
- Meraki experience preferred.
- Wireless experience preferred.
- Network automation experience preferred.
- One to three years related working experience.
- Cabling and phone system experience.
- Experience working with large networks and their associated technology.
