PAL Technical Services manages all aircraft maintenance activities within the PAL Group of Companies, including PAL Airlines and PAL Aerospace.
We are currently seeking a Operations Auditor/Investigator to join our team in St. John's, NL .
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan and complete audits and inspections for all operational groups - flight, ground and training programs
- Conduct external audits (sub-contractors, vendors) to evaluate the overall adherence to contracts and company requirements
- Assist in maintaining and updating detailed audit checklists for all functions and elements under the approved manuals and quality assurance program
- Conduct activities associated with audit preparation and planning, audit performance, audit reporting, follow-up and closure
- Develop /validate root cause analysis. Recommend corrective actions based on root cause analysis
- Supports SMS requirements related for aviation operations
- Participate in occurrence investigation activities for aviation operations
- Facilitate the investigation process to identify possible contributing factors to the event being investigated and gather factual information
- Assist in the development of short and long-term risk mitigation options to address contribution factors identified during investigation
- Facilitate management of change assessments and track resulting action items to completion
- Other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
- 3-5 years' experience in commercial flight operations - pilot experience preferred
- Previous experience of working in the safety management system of a commercial airline
- Previous experience of auditing to meet IATA operational safety audit program requirements
- Excellent analytical skills, able to interpret requirements and apply to process development
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Technical knowledge of aircraft types operated and maintained by the company is considered an asset
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt in a dynamic environment
- Strong commitment to meeting deadlines and effective time management skills
- Must maintain a valid passport; must be able to travel domestically and internationally when required
