Business Development Manager (Western Canada)

Reporting to the Vice President of Sales, the Business Development Manager is responsible for the growth of IFS's business in the Western Canadian region (British Columbia to Manitoba). To deliver sales and service results, the position establishes and manages effective relationships with insurance brokers, leveraging a strong business development focus. The position is accountable for retaining and increasing the business from the existing broker customer base as well as for securing business opportunities with new brokers.

You thrive in a team environment and are disciplined in your approach to planning and executing your sales plans. Your drive to succeed combined with smart business acumen makes you the ideal candidate for this role. To meet the position requirements, you appreciate the importance of traveling to meet and build relationships with brokers to ensure they are receiving a high standard of service.

Education/Experience:

Possess an undergraduate degree or diploma, with a minimum of six years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

  • Experience in, and superior knowledge of, personal and commercial insurance business.
  • Expert in sales planning and execution, with a proven track record of achieving results.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Strong service orientation, focused on achieving exceptional service standards.
