Position Purpose:
Reporting to the Store Human Resources Manager (SHRM) this role will support the HR function in the store in the areas of staffing, associate training, associate development, and WSIB/WCB administration and reporting, scheduling, and administrative functions. The role will spend approximately 60% of the time with scheduling and 40% of time dealing with HR administrative support functions.
Position Responsibilities:
We're looking for the type of associates who can tap into their inner orange by:
.Reviewing sales and hours forecasts with Store Manager (SM) and SHRM for the time period being scheduled
.Planning, inputting, producing and posting weekly schedules
.Ensuring associate availabilities meet minimum requirements as per business needs and partner with Department Supervisor/Assistant Store Manager (DS/ASM) should they not
.Supporting SHRM with the coordination of scheduling of quarterly associate performance review process
.Coordinating and maintain training calendars showing available courses each month
.Tracking training completed on a monthly basis through T2
.Reviewing the schedule with the Store Manager for final sign-off before posting the final schedule, ensuring to communicate any areas where gaps in customer service coverage occur
. Sourcing candidates using KENEXA and pre-screening internal and external candidates for hourly positions ensuring process compliance
.Following appropriate process for submission of BACKCHECK for all candidates
.Supporting HRM as needed with the writing and compiling of offer packages
.Coordinating and distributing associate service awards
.Assisting store leadership team in supporting the Open Door policy to ensure positive associate relations
.Ongoing liaison to SHRM for associate relations concerns and understanding when to escalate associate concerns to SM and SHRM
.Completing WSIB/WCB administration and reporting
.Creating entries in Human Resources Information System (HRIS) with regards to employee maintenance, actions, and AIMs entry
.Administrative function of filing and distributing paperwork
.Coordinating and participating with the on-boarding of new associates
.Coordinating the Orientation program; scheduling both new associates and presenters
Experience/Knowledge Required:
The kind of orange we're looking for will possess:
. Minimum time in position and performance management code requirements of V2 (or P3 in previous system)
.Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends
.Knowledge of and adherence to Home Depot policies and procedures
.Post secondary HR education (considered an asset)
.1 year leadership experience (considered an asset)
.Exceptional customer service skills
. Successfully complete any required Training
