This role leads strategic communications supporting the Cloud Acceleration Program (CAP), one of Scotiabank's top priorities. This program has enterprise-wide impact, and requires effective communications from executive leadership to employees impacted by the change. In this role, you will develop and execute strategic communications plans for the CAP, while ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are supported in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

- Experience leading communications for a large-scale transformation initiative with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively across functions to influence, manage, and drive communications across the organization.
- The incumbent is required to keep current on communication trends and best practices and will be a self-starter who proactively identifies communications opportunities and suggests creative ways to meet stakeholder needs.
- Experience in designing presentations, videos, and creative collateral for transformation initiatives that require large-scale change
- The incumbent requires a combination of focus and flexibility and can work independently and take direction well.
- The incumbent must be diplomatic, flexible, with a positive, mature attitude, and the ability to remain calm under pressure and to deliver under tight timelines.
- Must also be proactive and creative, with strong, proven ability to plan and manage competing priorities, as well as ability to recognize and appropriately handle sensitive and confidential information.
- Minimum undergraduate university degree, ideally in English, Communications, Journalism, Business, Marketing, or a related field. A post-graduate certificate in a related discipline is an asset.
- Superior verbal and written English communication skills including demonstrable creativity, accuracy and attention to detail.
- Spanish and French language and writing skills would be an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required.
- Proven ability to work both independently and within a team environment
