The Junior Site Superintendent assists the Site Superintendent in managing the day-to-activities involved with the build including employees and sub-trades. The incumbent will be a hands on supervisor and supporting trades as required.
- Coordinates, supervises the daily site activities of carpenters and sub-trades to ensure tasks are completed on time and according to the specified scope of work. Carpentry duties required to aid in the construction process.
- Ensures safe work practices are followed on-site.
- Act as an integral part of a team to construct high-performance homes & production homes.
- Produce high quality, efficient work according to the planned scope, provide direction to temp labourers.
- Assist in the coordination of daily activities including updating CRM systems.
- Assist Site Superintendents in estimating, creating schedules, ordering materials, and preparing multiple sites for start of construction.
- Reviews scope and provides input on budget and schedule.
- Resolves design challenges, handles change requests, and addresses equipment or material problems.
- Advises the Site Superintendents of work to be completed outside of the contract and potential change orders.
- Monitors the schedule in coordination with Site Superintendents & Construction Manager and provide reporting.
- Ensures quality for the client by providing stage checklists throughout the build with direction and training from the Site Superintendents.
- Ensures appropriate safety requirements and documentation are always met.
- 5-7 years of residential single family home onstruction including experience in a leadership role.
- Carpenter experience is required.
- Concrete knowledge is an asset.
- Solid understanding of residential construction, trades, and local construction techniques.
- Experienced with good knowledge to interpret drawings, specifications, and other relevant project information.

Maintains current knowledge of applicable & local building codes and workplace safety regulations.
- Work well independently and on a team.
- Are detail oriented, tidy, and of high integrity.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
- Have valid driver's license.
