Senior Securities Analyst - Saint John office
We are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled professional to join our dynamic team as a Senior Securities Analyst in the Securities Division. The Senior Securities Analyst role has two main purposes: i) to provide subject matter expertise in conducting in-depth reviews and analyses of prospectus and continuous disclosure documents filed by New Brunswick reporting issuers to ensure full, true and plain disclosure, including policy development and participation on numerous national corporate finance related committees and ii) to act as an accounting resource for the Division and the Commission through the review of financial-related documents and budgeting activities.
This position reports to the Manager, Corporate Finance in the Securities Division.
You possess strong report writing skills and are an effective communicator in both collegial and adversarial situations.
Other qualifications include:
- Completion of a university degree;
- CPA designation;
- 7+ years relevant post-designation work experience;
- In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Auditing Standards;
- Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards;
- Working knowledge of securities legislation is a definite asset;
- Experience using Tableau is an asset;
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset;
- Highly analytical;
- Sound judgment while exercising tact and discretion.
