SCHEDULE: Day, Weekend, Rotation, 8 and 12-hour shifts. Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS: French essential and spoken English

JOB SUMMARY:

Reporting to the Nursing Manager, the Staffing Technician is responsible for the daily and long-term nursing staffing at the Edmundston Regional Hospital as well as scheduling. Works with unit managers, supervisors and management. Acts as a liaison when new employees are hired and performs assigned office duties. Also performs a variety of secretarial and reception duties for nursing.

REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or general education diploma (GED), plus an additional administrative support program or course from over six months up to one year in length, or the equivalent;
• Medical terminology training or completion of training within set deadlines (training available in iTacit);
• Two years' previous experience;
• Knowledge of Microsoft 365;
• Knowledge of other software programs currently used within the Network;
• Strong communication skills and a personality supporting positive relationships with management staff and employees;
• Independence and creativity;
• Ability to work during very busy periods and effectively manage priorities;
• Ability to work effectively despite frequent interruptions;
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
• Physical ability to perform assigned work;
• Good work history (performance and attendance);
• Adherence to professional ethics principles, the Network's management philosophy and organizational values;
• Adherence to Vitalité Health Network's confidentiality rules.
