Your Contribution

As a Geotechnical Project Manager, you will work in collaboration with all Englobe teams.

Your main responsibilities will be:

  • Apply and promote Englobe's health and safety rules;
  • Manage multiple projects of various sizes from start to finish;
  • Coordinate, supervise and perform field and office responsibilities;
  • Manage and/or generate deliverable documentation of various projects including geotechnical reports, permits, health and safety plans, traffic control plans, and other required project documentation;
  • Prepare proposals and qualification packages;
  • Consistently execute prescribed technical procedures and work plans;
  • Provide and support in planning, scheduling, and executing all facets of projects;
  • Participate in project management meetings, office meetings, health, and safety inspections;
  • Actively marketing the company's products and services to new and existing clients through business development initiatives;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to scheduling changes and occasional overtime, evening, or weekend work;
  • Travel between worksites as required;
  • Maintain a commitment to exceeding client expectations by consistently delivering high-quality work;
  • Consistently maintain professionalism and objectivity while working with colleagues and clients who require varying degrees of support;
  • Handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy to maintain positive working relationships with all internal and external contacts;
  • Conduct project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation and project invoicing; and,
  • Other duties as assigned.

Your Profile

  • University Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering or related field, or College Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering Management or related field;
  • P.Eng, C.E.T. or C.Tech designation required;
  • Minimum of 3-5 years post-designation experience is preferred;
  • Minimum of 5 years experience required;
  • Experience and knowledge with Geotechnical drilling, settlement analyses, slope stability assessments, and civil construction, would be an asset;
  • Experience writing proposals, specifications, case studies, technical and non-technical reports;
  • Ability to work overtime hours as required to satisfy client demands during peak periods;
  • Previous experience in an engineering environment an asset;
  • Superior document management experience;
  • Excellent English language skills, oral and written;
  • Excellent soft skills and ability to work with clients;
  • Superior communication skills;
  • Superior time management skills;
  • Superior knowledge of Microsoft Office;
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills; and,
  • Valid driver's license and access to personal vehicle.
