The New Brunswick Sports Hall of Fame has an opening for a dynmic Communicatons Manager to join our team.

You are the ideal candidate if you are bilingual, highly organized, and can see yourself becoming passionate about telling the stories of New Brunswick's most accomplished athletes and sport builders. As the Communications Manager, you would be responsible for developing and implementing social media strategies, writing and editing outreach materials, measuring the effectiveness of implemented communications efforts, and assisting with the delivery of programs and events.

This permanent full-time position to be primarily performed from the NBSHF's office in downtown Fredericton, and the job comes with many perks; including medical & dental benefits, matching RRSP contributions, healthy living bonus, flexible working schedule, and partial work from home opportunities if interested.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and implementing social media strategies to engage target audiences
  • Leading the public relations and communications efforts by drafting, proof-reading, editing, and formatting content for email campaigns, social media posts, newsletters, press releases, etc.
  • Brainstorming and developing print and/or electronic promo materials to encourage donor engagement/increase museum visitation and program participation/inspire New Brunswickers through the delivery of compelling stories featuring our Hall of Famers
  • Measuring the effectiveness of implemented communications efforts by sourcing and analyzing data related to website traffic, social media metrics, and/or email campaign analytics
  • Assisting with the coordination and delivery of outreach programs and special events
Qualifications

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2-5 years of experience in communications, digital communications, marketing, project management, or similar roles
  • A degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, Sport and/or Recreation, or another related field
  • Excellent time management with the ability to plan accordingly to project timelines and goals
  • Excellent assessment and analytical skills with proven ability to determine successful outcomes and goals including planning, organizing, problem solving and decision making

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French will be considered an asset
  • Knowledge of Google Ads/Google Analytics/Hootsuite will be considered an asset

REMUNERATION: The salary range is $39,780 to $48,130 per year, plus medical & dental benefits, matching RRSP contributions, three weeks vacation, and a healthy living incentive.

Standard Work hours are 8:30-4:30, but flexible hours and work-from-home options can be accomodated.
