Your Contribution
- Commitment to EH&S and Quality objectives;
- Routine and preventative maintenance of the lab equipment and instruments;
- Prepare test-pieces for evaluation of parts for failure investigation as per the Component Investigation Engineer's directives;
- Cut solid samples for possible metallographic analysis;
- Cold and hot mounting (mounting press) of solid samples;
- Polish coated samples and perform chemical etching;
- Prepare etching reagents and manage solutions if necessary ( WHMIS labels, shel life);
- Archive samples;
- Perform analysis of various debris found within engines and power turbines;
- Perform micro and macro hardness measurements (Vickers / Rockwell), at the request of the Component Investigation engineer;
- Perform microscopic photography at the request of the Component Investigation engineer;
- Assist the engineering team for SEM observations
Your Profile
- Diploma of College Studies (DEC) or Attestation of College Studies (AEC) in metallurgy or equivalent experience;
- Relevant experience is an asset.
- Bilingual French and English, spoken and written
