Course Title: EDUC 5643 SU01 - Major Theoretical Developments in Curriculum Studies

Course Description:
This is a course for the 2023 Health Professionals Cohort taking a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies program and assumes knowledge of health education.
This course focuses on current issues in the field of curriculum studies. The course integrates contemporary work in the social sciences and the humanities in the analysis of curriculum. Students are invited to critically examine the impact of theory that influences curriculum development in schools. Prerequisite or Corequisite(s): EDUC 5633 or permission of the instructor.
Qualifications:The successful applicant must possess, at minimum, a Master's degree in Education in a related field. Preference will be given to applicants who possess a PhD or who are engaged in a doctoral program in a related area. Applicants should have demonstrated experience developing curriculum in an educational context. Preference will be given to applicants who have research activity related to curriculum development and furthermore experience working with health professionals.
