OVERVIEW OF THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to provide strategic guidance and technical expertise in designing and implementing effective IT solutions that align with business goals. The successful candidate will collaborate with project teams, ensure architectural best practices, and support the adoption of emerging technologies to drive business transformation.

WHAT YOU LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Develop and recommend solution architecture designs that align with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Provide strategic guidance on the effective use of solutions and architectures to achieve business outcomes.
  • Lead the design, specification, and selection of IT solutions, ensuring scalability, security, integration, and performance.
  • Ensure alignment with Enterprise Architecture principles and contribute to the development of architectural standards.
  • Maintain and update the Enterprise Architecture repository, tracking impacted components, relationships, and attributes.
  • Stay ahead of emerging technologies and leverage IT advancements to enhance business processes and digital transformation.
  • Provide architectural support for software development teams, ensuring alignment with best practices and business needs.
  • Develop cost estimates and business cases for IT solutions, considering infrastructure, licensing, development, and support.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers and Business Analysts to develop project plans, define tasks, and allocate resources for solution delivery.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Business Management, or a related field.
  • 5 7 years in a Solution Architect or similar role, with at least 10 years in a professional IT environment.
  • Strong background in enterprise architecture and solution design within diverse IT landscapes.
  • Experience in creating detailed solution design documentation and architectural blueprints.
  • Ability to provide technical direction to less experienced team members.
  • Proficiency in web application architecture, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) solutions, and enterprise system integrations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills to effectively engage with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of IT governance, security, scalability, and performance optimization.

Good to Have:

  • TOGAF Certification The Open Group Architecture Framework certified.
  • Experience working with cloud technologies and modern development frameworks.
  • Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
