Responsibilities:
As a nurse on our team, you will play an essential role in providing quality care, applying the best practices and contributing to our culture of innovation. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with passionate health professionals and bring your expertise to constantly improve our services. Here's an overview:
- Questionnaire for first medical appointment (history, medications, allergies/intolerances, lifestyle habits etc.)
- Weight, height and vital signs (adults and children)
- Management and administration of vaccines (children and adults)
- Primary prevention visits and review of recommended screenings according to age
- Management and monitoring of INR (warfarin)
- Monitoring of chronic diseases (DM, COPD etc.)
- Injections (b12, testosterone, Depo-Provera)
- ABCDaire questionnaire (newborn visits)
- Triage of patient's phone calls
- Update medications, allergies and intolerances at each visit
- Review /recommendations/advice regarding lifestyle habits, smoking cessation etc
- Questionnaire/procedure of cervical cancer screening visit (pap test)
- Review and management of results
- Prepare prescriptions for the doctor
- Review your tasks with the doctor
- Work and document in an EMR (electronic medical record system)
- Work autonomously and independently
- All other tasks related to nursing sciences requested by the doctor
Requirements:
- Registered nursing diploma
- Relevant clinical experience
- Written and spoken bilingualism (English & French)
- Communication skills and team spirit
- Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment
Schedule:
- 8:30am to 4:30pm (or equivalent), Monday to Friday *option-4 days/week, 30h *option-5 days/week, 37.5h
- Salary: negotiable depending on experience and efficiency
- Vacation: 4 weeks
- Illness/Sick day: 5 working days *unused sick days will be reimbursed at the end of the year (end of December)
