The Role

We are in search of a Crab & Scallops Sales Manager. The position oversees the development of sales and customer management. This position works closely with a variety of stakeholders including sales, processing plants, warehousing facilities, accounting, IT, logistics and other various support staff.

This is a remote position. We are looking for individuals that reside in the United States or Canada central to the seafood industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze system data and troubleshoot day-to-day customer sales, orders and pricing
  • Support our Managing Director with new and existing customer opportunities
  • Determine and communicate new selling options to customers
  • Analyze critical processes and lead continuous improvement initiatives
  • Liaise with customers and our internal production planning
  • Order management while assisting logistics to ensure that product arrives to customers
  • Actively hunt for new business opportunities.
  • Leverage existing contacts and develop new relationships to expand market reach
  • Negotiate and close deals, aiming to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Understand and keep up-to-date with industry trends, market activities, and competitors
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop strategies that align with consumer needs and preferences
  • Develop and expand the company's presence in national territories

Skills and experience required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Marketing
  • 7+ years proven experience as a Seafood Sales Representative, with specific experience selling Crab & Scallops
  • Exceptional sales and negotiation skills, with a track record of hunting and securing new business
  • Ability to operate on a national scale, with multi-channel sales experience.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
