The Role

Reporting to the Global Chief Sustainability Officer, the Sustainability Coordinator will be a trusted point person for the department, they will work on a wide-range of initiatives that provide visibility into every area of the organization and require regular contact with internal and external stakeholders. This position will be based in Blacks Harbour, NB.

Responsibilities

  • sustainability data management (GHG scope 1,2,3),
  • developing vendor compliance lists,
  • creating training materials, and preparing supporting data and documents for different environmental certifications (BIFMA Level, Indoor Air Quality Reports, Renewable Energy, etc.)

Qualifications

  • 1 - 2 years' related experience in a Sustainability capacity; previous experience in Aquaculture, farming or food industry is an asset.
  • Post-secondary degree specializing in Sustainability or ESG, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Knowledge and experience with applicable global sustainability standards (GRI, SASB, CDP)
  • Possesses a general understanding of product lifecycle, materials, material composition, chemical constituents, and other relevant topics.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Enjoy working with data with advanced analytic and reporting capabilities using Excel.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Sharepoint.
