Responsibilities

Acadia's Office of the Vice-Provost Students, Recruitment and Enrolment Management is looking for a Strategic Project Manager to support and guide cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives and projects that drive the Strategic Enrolment Management (SEM) strategy and the University's overall success.

We are looking for an innovative, strategic, and collaborative person with the ability to effectively create key partnerships to amplify resources and who will be purposeful in creating decision-focused and action-focused plans from start to completion. The person in this role will work across the Vice-Provost's portfolio and with other departments across the organization to ensure alignment and integration of projects and goals.

As the Strategic Project Coordinator, you will develop and implement project plans, manage budgets and resources, support strategic planning issues and initiatives, identify and manage risks, improve project processes, monitor and report on project performance, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within scope.

As a key player in the Vice-Provost's leadership team, you will be joining a unit that does great work and is passionate about the work they do. In your role, you'll be challenged to take on work that upholds and pushes Acadia forward. You'll grow as a person and leader in your field, all while helping students realize an educational experience like nowhere else.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Organizational Administration, Communication, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years' experience in project/program management.

  • Proven leadership abilities in coordinating multiple projects and deadlines that achieve results in a complex and changing organization.

  • Ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and changing priorities.

  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).

  • Ability to influence and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Previous budget and resource management experience.

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
