These are Term employment opportunities
- One position is located at the Saint John campus for the period of August 2023 to June 2024.
- One position is located at the Fredericton campus for the period of August 2023 to April 2024.
As part of the School of Business, Hospitality and Tourism, and reporting to the Academic Chair, Administrative Professional, the instructor is responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas and courses within the program may include but are not limited to:
- Essential Office Skills / Meeting Procedures
- Administrative Computer Applications
- Document Formatting
- Writing Fundamentals
- Administrative Math
The successful incumbent will be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices and be flexible in adapting to new technologies as well as instructing in a variety of subject areas. You may be involved in the planning, evaluation and monitoring of student practicum placements.
- Diploma or Certificate in an Administrative Professional program or a Degree in Education/Arts or a relevant field with related years of work experience.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have a minimum of five (5) recent and related years of work experience.
- Highly flexible with excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to navigate and build relationships effectively throughout the organization.
- High degree of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to maintain a high degree of professionalism and confidentiality.
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills, analytical ability, and innovative thinking.
- Self-motivated, service and results oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively independently and within a team.
- A desire for continuous learning and growth.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience working in a post-secondary environment.

Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

- A competitive salary range of $2,058 to $2,900 bi-weekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,167 bi-weekly, based on their level of post-secondary education.
