HOURS OF WORK:

8-hour shifts - Monday to Friday
Work schedule may be changed to meet operational needs.

JOB SUMMARY:

This is a supervisory position in the field of occupational therapy. The successful candidate will supervise professional and support staff and will perform various administrative duties requested by Management, namely assigning and reviewing work, conducting performance appraisals, and participating in staff recruitment. The successful candidate will also perform clinical work, in accordance with professional standards and the regional policies and methods.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Registered member in good standing of the New Brunswick Association of Occupational Therapists and the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Minimum of two years' clinical experience with increasing responsibilities
  • Valid BLS certificate or be wliing to obtain it as per set timeframe
  • Ability to use common computer tools (Microsoft Office suite, Internet, Meditech)
  • Interpersonal and organizational communication skills
  • Proven leadership, problem-solving, team work, and change management skills
  • Autonomy, flexibility, sound judgment, and initiative
  • Ability to manage workload and deal with multiple priorities
  • Sense of responsibility
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member;
  • Physical ability to perform assigned duties;
  • Good previous work history (performance and attendance);
  • Adherence to professional ethics principles, to the Network management philosophy and organizational values;
  • Compliance with the rules of confidentiality established by the Vitalité Health Network.

Written and spoken competence in English and French is required.
