Under the direction of the Property Manager, the Receptionist / Administrative Support provides clerical support to the Property Manager, and to employees working in client services and other site office supervisors to ensure effective client service and the efficient running of the office.
• Receive incoming phone calls and walk-in inquiries from tenants and the public.
• Provide general information regarding available housing programs.
• Receive and track applications and tenant files.
• Schedule appointments, record team meetings and provide general administrative support to the team.
• Prepare general correspondence and related documentation to applicants/tenants i.e. inspection notices or tenants meetings.
• Maintain and store files confidentially by ensuring they are kept secure in locked cabinets.
• Process rent, arrears and other payments from tenants.
• Provide back up to the Maintenance Clerk; assist with issuing and approving purchase and work orders.
• One-year Office Administration certificate with two years' related experience.
• Competency in desktop software, including Microsoft Office.
• Interpersonal skills to deal with co-workers, tenants, contractors and vendors, other departments, and the public in a positive, tactful, courteous, and cooperative manner.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision, as well as in a team environment.
• Ability to exercise tact, discretion, sound judgment and initiative when investigating, questioning, and dealing with inquiries, requests and submissions that are sensitive and confidential in nature.
Assets:
• Working knowledge of Yardi Property Management software.

Salary Range: $20.72 to $22.55 hourly
