About Eastern Shore Musquodoboit Valley Literacy Network
Eastern Shore Musquodoboit Valley Literacy Network, known as ESMV Literacy, is supported by a governance Board of Directors, and an engaged, dedicated team. Our core funding comes from the Nova Scotia School for Adult Learners grant through the Department of Labour, Skills and Immigration (LSI). Our mandate is Adult Education. We work to support the rural communites between Porters Lake and Ecum Secum and the Musquodoboit Valley between Dutch Settlement and Upper Musquodoboit. Our network works with best practice principles, participates in professional development opportunities, and supports adult learners with NSSAL approved programming curriculum. We collarborate, network and value our relationships with other Community Learning Organizations across the province of Nova Scotia. We work with community partners and stakeholders to understand community needs and how to best align our educational programs, family literacy events and relevant community learning opportunities to meet those needs.
