NBCC is currently calling for expressions of interest for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Academic Chair of Engineering Technologies beginning April 2023, for a period of one year. This position will be based at the Moncton Campus.

As part of the School of Engineering Technologies and reporting to the Academic Chair, the Administrative Assistant manages and oversees a broad range of operational and administrative tasks to support the Academic Chair, Department, and the overall mission of the College. This position requires self-direction often working remotely and through a centralized structure that requires effective and efficient communication and administration of various administrative services. Working under the direction of the Academic Chair, this role works collaboratively with other leaders and staff members to create a high-functioning team that sets and achieves goals.

The candidate must have a diploma or degree in a relevant field with related years of experience. The successful applicant will have knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a strong commitment to customer service. Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications.

This position is classified as Administrative and Program Support Services Level 4. The bi-weekly salary range is $1,642.00 to $1,988.00.

Note: The current manager and new manager will work together to determine a suitable start date for the successful candidate that will meet operational needs for both parties. Therefore, we ask candidates to advise their current manager prior to applying for the position.
