NBCC is currently calling for expressions of interest for the position of Business Analyst in the SIMS Team from April 2023 to April 2024. This position can be based at any campus location.
Reporting to the Manager of Enterprise Applications, the Business Analyst is responsible to respond to the needs of the organization and help deliver technology that supports organizational business goals. The role provides functional support to management on systems design and administration.
Responsibilities also include:
- Undertaking the review of business processes in conjunction with current system users, including workflow analysis and functional process charts to identify process improvements.
- Documenting the current and desired state of processes noting the size of the change and the stakeholders affected.
- Conducting cost benefit analysis.
- Participating in the upgrade of current systems, identifying impacts on users, process change associated with upgrades
- Assisting with system upgrade and patch testing and documentation
- Performing data "audits" to ensure data integrity is maintained.
- Developing plans and strategies for implementation of new modules
- Developing training material on any system changes and deliver training to users
The candidate must have a university degree in Computer Science or Business OR a Diploma from a two year IT/Business Program OR related work experience in business system analysis. Knowledge on business functions and experience working in SIMS will be preferred.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications.
This position is classified as Pay Group 4, of the Information Technology Collective Agreement. The salary range is $1,997.00 to 2,700.00 bi-weekly.
