GEMTEC currently has an opening for a Senior Hydrogeologist/Dam Engineer in our Moncton office location. The successful candidate will have significant experience reviewing, managing and completing hydrogeological investigations in support of aggregate resource development, infrastructure and land development, including investigation design, advanced data analysis, impact assessment and numerical modelling.

• Currently registered, or has the ability to register as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in New Brunswick or Nova Scotia
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in civil or geological engineering from an accredited University
• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in civil engineering consulting with experience in dam engineering
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
• Proven project management and technical skills
• Experience with the analysis and design requirements of the CDA Dam Safety Guidelines
• Expertise in the design of foundations, earthfill embankments and water and/or tailings retaining structures
• Experience with Dam Safety Reviews and Flood Studies in accordance with CDA Guidelines
• Experience with geotechnical and/or hydrotechnical numerical modelling (e.g. Slope/W; Seep/W; HEC-HMS; HEC-RAS; etc.)
