New Brunswick Community College (NBCC) is committed to transforming lives and communities. The College is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the casual position of Community College Instructor, in the Pre-Employment Welding program. This position is for the period of March 2022 to June 2022 and will have full-time hours (36.25 hours per week).

You will be collaborating with the Academic Chair of Metals Processing. As a member of the faculty team, you are responsible for planning and preparing instructional materials and resources; establishing and managing a positive learning environment; instructing and evaluating students; building and sustaining professional relationships with students, colleagues, community partners, and stakeholders; as well as other related duties.
Specific instructional areas and courses within the program will include related subjects in the full scope of the trades (but not limited to):
- Safety
- Trade-related math and physics
- Welding
- Rigging
- Blueprint reading
- and other trade-related subjects as required.
The successful incumbent must be willing and able to integrate technology and active student learning techniques into teaching practices.
- A high school diploma, or equivalency.
- A valid Red Seal license in the Welding Trades with a minimum of three (3) years of related, recent work experience at the Journeyperson's level.
- Preference may be given to candidates who have experience teaching in a post-secondary environment.
Candidates must clearly demonstrate how they meet these qualifications on their resumes.
Other combinations of education and experience may be considered as equivalent. Subject to competition response, the minimum qualifications may be raised.

- A competitive salary ranging from $2,058 to $2,900 bi-weekly. Successful candidates may be eligible for a higher maximum step, up to $3,167 bi-weekly, based on their level of post-secondary education.

This position is a unionized position where the terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with the New Brunswick Union of Public and Private Employees collective agreement (Education - Instructional Group) for the College.
