Salary range: $99,553.70 to $117,122.00 annually
For the 2021-22 Academic Year, based on public health guidelines, NSCC plans to return to more in-person learning, supports and services. You may be required to work on campus, remotely or a combination of both as the Academic Year begins and progresses. This will be clarified further upon hire.

What you will be doing…
The role of Manager Student Services and Academic Chair for the Schools of Access, Education & Language; Health & Human Services; and Business & Creative Industries is located at the Annapolis Valley Campus (Middleton). You will lead the delivery of academic and student support programs at the Campus, ensuring the highest standard of quality and consistency in programming while leading a team that is focused on supporting student success. Your strategic and operational leadership is key to ensuring the objectives of programs offered by NSCC are met through efficient and effective management of all fiscal and human resources, while promoting the application of adult education principles and effective engagement with diverse populations, within a student centered, safe work environment.
You will be a key member of both Campus and School teams. Campuses and Schools share accountability for ensuring a quality, portfolio-learning environment, and a cohesive campus team. You will use your established relationships in health, human services, and student support sectors, including diverse communities and related sectors regionally and locally, to inform programming and opportunities for students.

Qualifications and Occupational Experience:
- The minimum educational qualification for this position is a Master's degree in relevant discipline, such as management, business, education, adult education, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A recognized equivalent would be a Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline, such as health services or education, or a Masters in Counselling, will be considered with appropriate work experience
- You have a minimum of 5 years of recent and progressive occupational experience in a variety of roles related to academics and/or student services. Experience in your field includes formal teaching at a post-secondary level. Additionally, you must have a minimum of five years in a formal supervisory, management or leadership role coaching and mentoring direct reports.
- Occupational experience that includes combined academic, adult learning and student support service management would be considered an asset.
- You are familiar with and comfortable using computer applications such as Microsoft Office Suite, E-mail, and Microsoft Excel.
- You are comfortable working in a digital environment; you take responsibility for acquiring knowledge about advancing technology; and you are committed to using technology to create an exceptional student experience
- You have experience in training/facilitation preparation, delivery, and evaluation
