We're looking to fill the following permanent full-time production roles in our shift teams:

  • Production Operator - day and night shift positions
  • Sanitation Staff - night shift positions
  • Forklift Operator - night shift position

Our typical entry-level starting wage (for those with little or no experience) is $14/hour (plus a nightshift premium if applicable) with potential to start at a higher rate based on a candidate's skills and past work experience.

Responsibilities

In the Production Operator position, you will play a critical production-line role, ensuring the safe and efficient manufacturing of our products. You will be responsible for a variety of functions such as setting up, operating, and cleaning equipment, packing product, and carrying out detailed and thorough quality inspections and related documentation.

In the Sanitation Staff position, you will be responsible for cleaning and sanitizing activities throughout the facility and other duties as assigned. Safety and quality are extremely important. Experience using motorized cleaning equipment such as scrubbers, and training and experience with WHMIS, especially safe chemical handling, are definite assets. Experience in food production and HACCP/GMP training or experience are also assets. Some heavy lifting may be required.

In the Forklift Operator position, you will operate lifts in a safe manner and help ensure all production lines are sufficiently supplied with raw materials. You will load and unload raw materials and finished goods, sort incoming and outgoing materials, relocate items within the facility and assist operations as needed. You will secure pallets with pallet wrap and verify all counts and traceability documentation, and help to monitor and track inventory levels.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Good attendance record, positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high attention to detail, quality and safety of work
  • Physical ability to stand, bend, stretch and lift up to 44 pounds (10-12 hour shifts)
  • Basic math skills and the ability to communicate, read and write in English
  • Comfort with common computer programs and learning new systems and technologies
  • Able to work in a team environment and maintain a friendly and approachable manner
  • Past experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is an asset, as is past experience in food preparation and/or food safety
  • Past forklift experience is required for the forklift position
