As a Compliance Partner, your role will be to support the various departments of the company in the effective management of compliance risks with laws, regulations, guidelines and standards applicable to life insurers. As part of your job, you will be required to read, understand and vulgarize regulatory information, as well as prepare and deliver training on various compliance topics.
- Propose innovative solutions to compliance issues to various departments;
- Evaluate company operations to determine compliance risk, perform relevant analyses, and collaborate in the preparation of reports;
- Contribute to the implementation of the personal and confidential information protection program (privacy), as well as the anti-money laundering program;
- Assist with regulatory agency investigations, requests for information and surveys;
- Prepare and deliver training on compliance topics;
- Draft and review policies and procedures on various compliance topics.
- University or college education in law, administration or related field;
- Three to five years experience in a similar position;
- Thorough knowledge of Excel and Word;
- Excellent writing and communication skills in French and English (oral and written);
- Strong sense of innovation and creativity;
- Good analytical and synthesis skills, thoroughness and attention to detail;
- Capacity to write clearly and concisely;
- Ability to move into solution mode quickly and to adapt to rapid changes;
- Facility to work efficiently on several files at the same time, with tight deadlines;
- Resourcefulness and strong organizational skills.
