We are presently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist that can proactively build domestic and international relationships with educational institutes, agencies and communities as well as execute creative and innovative sourcing strategies.
In this role there will be a strong focus on understanding the market and hiring the proper talent for the right role and culture. This role will be responsible for the recruitment and talent acquisition of all production and administrative positions within IMG and Group of Companies (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec and Ontario).
This role requires a collaborative and positive approach, an analytical mindset, a keen sense of accountability and a self-driven work ethic.
You will strategically lead the way to acquire talent, generate innovative ideas, leverage resources, and share information that facilitates an effective search process aimed at acquiring top talent.
In this role the key responsibilities involve:
- Sourcing candidates through a variety of search resources (social media, ATS, internal database, job boards, networking, internet searches, events, etc.);
- Acting as the initial point-of-contact for all job candidates throughout the recruitment and selection process;
- Screening all resumes and conduct initial interviews with potential candidates for various positions within the company;
- Assisting with the welcoming and onboarding of new talent;
- Managing the Immigration process (NBPNP/AIP)
- Managing all government immigration programs as well as assist with the application and admission functions for all international hires;
- Researching and implementing innovative sourcing methodologies and creative channels for finding new candidates;
- Developing and maintaining a ready pool of pre-screened candidates and take initiative in creating alternative and creative sourcing to increase the pool;
- Researching talent acquisition trends in the staffing industry and implement improvements in the areas of talent identification, sourcing, assessment and selection;
- Providing input into the design of tools, processes and programs to support the corporate talent acquisition strategy;
- Understanding who the major employers are in each market and build sourcing strategies that allow IMG to remain proactive and competitive in finding top talent;
- Creating and implementing a new way of doing things and use a multi-channel sourcing approach to source our future employees;
- Workinig closely with the Operations/Executive team to determine staffing needs and to gain a solid understanding of each unique position
- Promoting organizational brand image and attractiveness, both internally and externally;
- Representing IMG at events to build and foster relationships with potential candidate communities.
- Other HR duties as assigned such as recognition program, company social events, etc
Ideal qualifications include:
- Post secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- A minimum of 5 years experience in full cycle recruitment
- Experience working with the Provincial Immigration Process
- Experience in the manufacturing field would be an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience closing candidates and negotiating complex compensation packages
- Able and willing to travel domestically
- Must be able to demonstrate sense of urgency and meet deadlines
- Excellent time management and prioritization skills
- Bilingualism will be considered an asset
