A global Electromechanical Machine Manufacturer is looking for a Junior Field Service Technician to join their Canadian team. This is 100% travel position and weekend off. Due to the travel requirement to the US, the ideal candidate must have an valid passport and driver's license and no restriction to the US visit.
Junior Field Service Technician RESPONSIBILITIES
- Visit customers and provide annual preventative maintenance services and troubleshoot issues and install of replacement parts.
- Schedule and communicate recommended preventive maintenance services with existing and new customers.
- Review and recommend spare parts for customer for future maintenance.
- Be available to answer customer inquiries by phone and email, which may require research of their prior work records and installation records and provide troubleshoot and solutions.
- Maintain customer service history and planning for future preventative maintenance work.
- Manage and organize local inventory and restock as needed.
- Creating an report to higher management.
- Packaging, shipping, and receiving of parts from oversea HQ, our inventory, and inspecting returned parts for maintenance.
- Other duties as assigned.
Junior Field Service Technician QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate Degree or Technical training/Certification in electronics and instrumentation preferred.
- Willing to travel 100% within Canada and occasionally to the US.
- Must have valid drivers license with good record and passport.
- Wire Electrical Discharge Machining experience is a big plus but not mandatory
- Training will be provided in the US HQ, must be able to flexible to stay there for long period of time (1~6month depending on individuals performance)
- CNC Programming skill is a big plus
- Skilled in either Electrical or Mechanical measurement and inspection techniques
- Must be a well-organized individual with the ability to write comprehensive after action reports.
- Adept in the use of MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 50 pounds, lift in excess of 50 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel products/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision and hearing.
