As Business Development Manager, you'll be a key revenue generator and relationship builder at HRPA. Reporting to the Senior Director of Business Development & Partnerships, you'll lead strategic initiatives and own the full sales cycle, from identifying leads to securing partnerships and ensuring successful execution.
Strategize and Lead: Develop and execute business development strategies across HRPA's portfolio, including advertising, sponsorships, partnerships, and job board postings to achieve revenue goals.
Client Engagement: Oversee and manage inbound inquiries from clients including responding to sales and customer service inquiries (inbox management, customer service phone line). Identify high-potential leads and engage with clients to secure new business and foster long-term relationships
Sales Cycle Management: Proactively lead outbound sales efforts including prospecting, cold outreach, booking meetings, and follow-up strategies to generate new business.
HireAuthority.ca Project Ownership: Take full accountability for platform growth, sales performance, and overall business development strategy to drive increase in job postings and expand platform reach. Manage customer service tickets with platform developer and invoicing for HireAuthority.ca
Performance Reporting: Develop and maintain a business development dashboard and provide reporting to HRPA Executive Leadership Team to highlight performance.
Event Representation: Represent HRPA at external company events, industry events and conferences.
What You Bring
5+ years in business development and sales, with demonstrated success generating net new business and managing long-term client relationships.
Leading sales cycle management, sales meetings, contract negotiations, and client management.
Identifying new sales opportunities, reaching out and developing new client relationships, and closing new client business.
Developing and driving innovative business development strategies.
Proficiency in CRM and customer database management platforms.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport, communicate value, and instill trust.
An entrepreneurial spirit combined with resilience, accountability, and commitment to IDEA.
Bachelor's degree or diploma in business administration or related field.
