We are currently hiring for a Production Filling and Batch Making position for one of our top-notch clients in Toronto, ON.
Position Summary:
Join a team of motivated professionals in the aerospace and defense industry. This role requires smarts, accuracy, and a desire for orderly things. As our filler and batch maker you will use a variety of manual and automated equipment to mix, fill, and package paints, primers, and thinners.
- Fill containers ranging from Pints to Drums from Kettles
- Mix product before decanting using pneumatic, electric, and manual mixers
- Making batches of thinners and catalysts
- Washing tanks with wash solvent after filling
- Labeling if and when required
- Using a forklift, put Raw Materials away in the racking
- Monitor consumables inventory and report when low
- Helping maintain a clean, safe and orderly production environment
- Dumping scrap material
- Other tasks deemed relevant by management
Key accountabilities for this role:
- Speak, read and write English
- Work independently
- The ability to lift 22.7kg (50lbs)
- Strong reading skills and comprehension
- Good interpersonal skills and be self motivated
- Communicate with internal clients and departments
- Valid Canadian working visa, permanent resident card or citizenship
Qualifications:
- Willingness to learn and be a team player
- Ability to see colors
- experience in forklift driving and paint tinting an asset
- The successful candidate must demonstrate verbal and written language skills in English.
- Experience in the chemical or paint industry is a strong asset
- Due to the sensitive nature of some of our defence products the successful applicant will be required to submit a criminal background check prior to final employment offer.
