THE ROLE

Our client is looking for a skilled Tool and Die Maker to join a well-established manufacturing team in Simcoe, Ontario. The ideal candidate will have successfully completed the Certificate of Qualification (CoQ) and demonstrate a strong understanding of machining processes. They should also be proficient in operating a variety of tools and equipment to craft precision tools, dies, and fixtures. Pay Structure: Hourly, Full-time, Permanent, with a competitive salary and some amazing company perks.

Schedule: 7am-3pm/3pm-11pm/11pm-7am rotating every 2 weeks

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • Design and fabricate tools, dies, and fixtures based on specifications and schematics.
  • Utilize CAD software and AutoCAD to create detailed designs and plans for tool production.
  • Operate milling machines, lathes, and other machining equipment to manufacture components.
  • Assemble parts and perform welding tasks as needed to complete tool fabrication.
  • Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot issues during the production process.

REQUIRMENTS

  • Proficient in math skills for precise measurements and calculations.
  • Experience with CAD software, including AutoCAD, is preferred.
  • Strong background in machining processes, including the use of hand tools and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for effective tool design.
  • Experience in fabricating components from various materials is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Previous experience as a Tool and Die Maker or in a similar role is highly desirable.
