The Role
Our client is a Canadian company with over 50 years of experience, specializing in monitoring systems, providing high-quality products, engineering, and customer support, along with services such as maintenance, training, and consulting. Currently, seeking to add to the team a Field Hydraulics Technician, who is able to work in different client sites around Canada and the United States.
This position primarily offers daytime shifts, however, the availability to be on-call when needed is necessary.
Responsibilities
- Maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting hydraulic systems and components in various marine equipment.
- Performing routine inspections, replacing defective parts, and ensuring all work complies with safety regulations.
- Interpreting client blueprints and maintaining strong and professional relationships while working at clients' sites.
- Determine the cause of failure and test fluid power, flow control, and automation technologies.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience withhydraulics and pneumatics.
- Electrical systems, as well as electromechanical equipment, experience.
- Fluid power parts and marine systems knowledge
- Proven troubleshooting, disassembly, repair, and testing of hydraulic/pneumatic systems experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with technical writing experience.
- Excellent troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Familiarity with digital/analog circuits and tools is an asset.
- A valid drivers license for local travel and theability to travel internationally, including to the US.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Compensation
- $35 to $45 an hour, depending on experience.
