JPS is expanding, and we're searching for Experienced Finish Dozer Operator to join our dynamic team.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Operate dozer equipment as it applies to finish grading, rough grading, cut to fill, trenching, ditching, sloping, and banking, material handling, stock piling, etc.
• Follow marks on grade stakes or hand signals
• Level soil, rock, and debris
• Demonstrate clear understanding of roadway plans, drawings, and grades
• Able to clean tracks
• Follow instruction and collaborate with others to complete tasks
• Perform pre & post-trip equipment inspection following standardized checklist as well as basic machine maintenance
• Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with our companies safe work practices, policies, procedures and local legislative requirements
• Identify all hazards and potential hazards to site supervision
• Report all incidents, near misses and equipment damage to site supervision
• Perform other related duties as required

Qualifications and Competencies:

• Minimum 3-5 seasons with sloping and leveling (finish work)
• 5 seasons as a finish dozer operator
• Experience operating on commercial and industrial projects is an asset
• Gradesman experience is considered an asset Minimum 2 years previous experience working in civilconstruction as a Dozer Operator
• Strong teamwork skills and positive attitude
• Valid Class 5 drivers license and reliable transportation

Additional Information

• This position is eligible for over-time
• Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
• Training will be provided for various activities

All JPS Construction employees must have CSTS2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS and will be required to complete any other orientations the company deems necessary to perform work including company and site-specific orientations.
