JPS is expanding, and we're searching for an Experienced Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safe and efficient operation of machines with the ability to perform finishing detail excavation & production-based grading.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate excavators and other heavy equipment to excavate to final grade
• Understand grade stake cut/fills
• Collaborate with team members to ensure project specifications are met
• Maintain equipment by performing daily inspections, maintenance and minor repairs
• Follow safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment
• Utilize mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot equipment issues promptly

Requirements

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation, particularly with final grade
• Experience in commercial projects is preferred
• Ability to operate other equipment is a bonus and will be preferred
• Positive attitude and prompt attendance
• Strong communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members on-site
• A commitment to safety standards and practices in all operations
• Valid safety certifications are required.

Additional Information

• This position is eligible for over-time
• Some travel outside of Edmonton may be required
• Training will be provided for various activities

All JPS Construction employees must have CSTS2020 Fundamentals, WHMIS and will be required to complete any other orientations the company deems necessary to perform work including company and site-specific orientations.
