The Opportunity:

Reporting to the Director of Brand Marketing, the Senior Brand Manager will play a leading role in the design and execution of brand marketing strategies and plans. They will work to ensure that all brand-related projects and deliverables are executed efficiently and within targeted deadlines. With a creative flair and great attention to detail, the Senior Brand Manager will drive integrated communication, planning and local store marketing support. This role will be responsible for developing and coaching two direct reports. The Senior Brand Marketing Manager is an organized team player. Their energy is infectious, bringing positivity and continuous support to the team. Working across multiple teams, their ability to collaborate, foster relationships and bring solutions to the table are essential assets.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Brand Manager, duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Drive the development and execution of the annual marketing calendar across all seasonal and tactical programs by collaborating with internal teams and external agencies.
  • Lead the brand digital strategy owning planning and execution across all paid channels.
  • Manage the annual M&M Food Market marketing budget acting as the point person across multiple functions to ensure adherence to all stewardship principles.
  • Lead the briefing, planning, and execution of national and regional omni-channel brand campaigns.
  • Lead partnership marketing strategy through optimizing existing brand relationships and forging successful new collaborations.
  • Champion brand positioning and visual identify ensuring consistency across the organization.
  • Work cross-functionally with Innovation, Category, Loyalty, eCommerce, Supply Chain to design and execute our communication launch campaign for suite of innovation products.
  • Lead marketing strategy and execution across our entire M&M Express Network encompassing +2,000 retail partner locations across the country.
  • Lead Local Store Marketing strategy through supporting our entire network of franchise partners.
  • Lead and develop two marketing professionals (Brand Manger, Regional Marketing Specialist) creating an engaged high-performing team.

Experience, Education and Designations:

  • 8+ years of progressive marketing experience working in a brand and commercial/retail marketing environment, on client or agency side.
  • University or college degree.
  • Experience and knowledge of food retail or retail industry is preferred.
  • Deep digital marketing expertise across paid, owned, and earned channels.
  • Strong understanding of traditional marketing principles and programs.
  • Experience coaching and leading direct reports.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office application suite is expected (particularly PowerPoint, Word, Excel).

  • High degree of tenacity and persistence to get actions completed on schedule with a hands on approach when needed.
  • Bi-lingual in French and English an asset.
