Title:Performance Management Specialist
Reports To: HR Manager / Personnel Team
Job Summary & Impact:
This role involves a strategic and analytical Performance Management Specialist to help drive a culture of continuous feedback, employee growth, and organizational excellence. This role is key in designing, implementing, and evolving performance management frameworks that align individual goals with company strategy, foster accountability, and support employee development. Duties and Responsibilities:
Performance Management Design & Execution
- Develop and manage the companys performance management cycle (goal setting, check-ins, performance reviews, feedback loops).
- Partner with managers and leaders to ensure effective application of performance tools and practices.
- Drive alignment of individual, team, and organizational goals through OKRs or similar methodologies.
- Ensure consistency and fairness in performance evaluation processes across departments.
Training & Support
- Educate managers and employees on performance management processes, tools, and best practices.
- Provide coaching and support to leaders on giving feedback, performance conversations, and development planning.
- Create resources and facilitate workshops to embed a feedback culture within the organization.
Data & Analytics
- Monitor performance data and analyze trends to identify strengths, gaps, and opportunities.
- Prepare reports and insights for leadership on performance outcomes and effectiveness of the program.
- Use data to refine performance strategies and recommend improvements.
Continuous Improvement & Projects
- Work on strategic HR projects related to performance, talent development, or leadership programs.
- Collaborate with the L&D and Culture teams to ensure performance ties into broader people initiatives.
- Keep up with industry trends and bring forward innovative approaches to performance enablement.
General
- Work cooperatively to foster a harmonious working relationship with all co-workers.
- You would be responsible for completing reports and other paperwork as associated with these projects and as assigned.
- You would be required to complete weekly task lists and schedules and would have weekly meetings with your manager.
- You would be required to report to management with an EDR (end of day report) outlining all the tasks and hours spent for the day.
- You are encouraged to participate in at hoc managerial committees whose purpose is to advance our company.
Training and Education:
- Landscape industry experience
- HR work experience is an asset
- Previous leadership, customer service and administrative experience required
- Post secondary relating to horticulture is an asset
- Post Secondary relating to business or HR are an asset
- Proficient with MS Office software (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, AI, Microsoft Teams)
- Experience with an HRIS (BambooHR) an asset

Compensation, Work Environment & Perks:
- Full-Time Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm (evenings and weekends as required to attend company events and fulfill personnel and team needs)

Please note, this position will require you to work in the field on crew periodically throughout the year to gain a full understanding of the Para Space way and what the landscaping role here entails.
You will be required to put in time outside of regular work hours as per the career path presented to you when offered the position. This is a process that will allow you to grow within the role and industry as a professional which you will be supported through.
We would have quarterly meetings to discuss performance and advancement opportunities. We would have annual performance reviews to discuss wages. Increases would be dependent on your performance, responsibilities, and workload.
