About the Company
A mid-sized law firm in downtown Toronto is looking to hire an experienced Financial Analyst for a newly created position due to continued expansion.
About the Role
As a Financial Analyst, you'll support financial operations by ensuring accurate reporting and compliance, providing insights for strategic decisions. Reporting to the Director of Finance and CFO, you will manage bank account reconciliations, month-end journal entries, and general ledger reconciliations. You'll handle timekeeper setups and billing rates, assist with audits, and support budget preparation. Additionally, you'll analyze profitability, cash flow, and month-end reports, maintain key financial reports, and collaborate with HR on RRSP uploads.
The Offer
This position offers a competitive salary range of $80K to $110K, with the potential for a discretionary bonus based on individual and company performance. The firm provides excellent benefits, including RRSP matching after one year, three weeks of vacation, a $500 health spending account, education support, and more.
What You Bring
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field, with a CPA designation or in progress. They should have 3-5 years of financial analysis experience, ideally in a law firm, and be proficient in Excel (VLOOKUPs, IF analysis). Familiarity with law firm accounting software like Elite, Aderant, or Clio, as well as knowledge of trust accounting and legal billing practices, is preferred.
