Structural Analysis and Design:
- Conduct detailed structural analysis using advanced software tools to assess loads, stresses, and deformations on building structures.
- Develop structural design concepts and solutions that meet project requirements while optimizing for safety, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability.
- Prepare comprehensive structural calculations, drawings, and specifications for construction documentation.
- Lead and manage building projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
- Coordinate with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to integrate structural requirements seamlessly into overall project plans.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their specific needs, goals, and constraints, and provide expert guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
- Present technical proposals, reports, and findings to clients in a clear and concise manner, addressing any concerns or questions they may have.
- Cultivate strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service delivery.
- Serve as a subject matter expert in structural engineering, staying abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical matters, professional development, and project execution.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of design methodologies, standards, and workflows within the organization.
- Ensure that all structural designs and calculations comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations governing the construction industry.
- Conduct thorough reviews and checks of design documentation to uphold quality standards and minimize errors or discrepancies.
- Participate in internal and external audits, addressing any findings and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required; Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in building structural engineering
- Proficiency in structural analysis and design software such as S-Frame, ETABS, spSlab or similar
- Strong knowledge of relevant building codes and standards (e.g., IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC).
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Proven track record of successful project management and client engagement.
