We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual to join Argo Lumber, a corporate family member of the Alpa Lumber Group and be a part of the largest Lumber, EWP, CSP, OSB, TRUSS supplier in Ontario. Argo Lumber is currently looking for a Site Representative in Maple, Ontario. The On Site Representative is responsible for visiting construction sites on a daily basis in order to monitor progress of ongoing projects being completed by Argo Clients. The On Site Representative will comply with Health & Safety requirements at each site and will report inventory levels and site specific issues as directed. Job Responsibilities: Customer Service: * Provide superior customer service during site visits * Promptly respond to client inquiries, questions, and information requests Site Visit: * Conduct daily visits to contact sites * Investigate and report specific site issues as directed * Monitor and report site inventory levels regarding extra materials * Revise Call Off Orders as required * Update Contract Project Status and Admin * Update Site Logs re: rough framing status (stage complete dates) and load status (+4 days on site) * Update Site Log and Builder Log Sheets with billing dates for rough ins and site framing of upgrades * Update and print Site Logs re: next day site visits * Note any Complete Not Shipped loads in Builder Log Sheets * Perform complete audit of Contract Builder Log Sheets vs. BisTrack shipments * Set up weekly site visits in calendar Corporate Standards: * Follow company procedures to both their letter and intent * Comply with Health and Safety Standards General: * Participate in physical inventory counts 4 times annually, on Saturdays as scheduled by the GM Complete other tasks as required. Skills/Requirements Personal Characteristics * Energetic team player who works well under pressure * Excellent time management and organizational ability * Demonstrate high ethical and moral standards * Positive, friendly demeanour * Superior English and strong verbal communications skills Contacts & Interactions * Able to manage internal and external contacts with tact and courtesy when obtaining and exchanging information as well as maintaining confidentiality * Able to interact with external contacts which consist of current customers / potential customers / contractors / builders Decision Making & Consequences * Able to manage errors as errors may cause significant identifiable losses to Argo. These losses could result in: monetary consequences; adverse relationships within Argo; poor public image, and/or substantial work delays. The errors may have a continuing influence on the future operations and viability of the entire company Education & Experience * High school diploma * Minimum 2 years' customer service experience. * Experience working in a lumberyard preferred Acquired Skills * Strong customer service skills, trouble shooting capabilities and investigative questioning techniques * Able to effectively represent the company and communicate with others at varying levels * Knowledge of lumber, building products, framing and house construction Technology * Basic software computer skills - Word, Excel and Outlook Competitive salary is based on experience and includes benefits, vacation and a pension plan.
