Candidates should be confident taking a drawing to a finished component and with programing, setting, and operating CNC Turning machines while working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou). Our team of 35+ team members have extensive experience to learn from and receive coaching from. We support our employees with internal and external training as they look to build their skills.
We have opportunities on the day shift (7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday) and the afternoon shift (3:45 pm to 1:45 am, Monday to Thursday), as well as overtime as needed.

About our Turning DepartmentOur turning department boats seven Mazak turning centers with a wide capability set for turning small parts from 1/8" bar stock to large parts up to 23" in diameter. Most of our lathes boast live tooling and several include Y-Axis milling and sub-spindle capabilities.
Responsibilities Include:
- Program, set up, and operate CNC Turning centers.
- Ability to check machined parts and read technical drawings.
- Ability to fill in detailed paperwork and record dimensions accurately.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace and machine.
- Machine knowledge and basic maintenance capabilities.
- Ability to work in a team environment to support other machinists.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- Parts deburring and polishing.
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years of CNC Turning experience setting and operating.
- Minimum 1 year of CNC turning programming experience.
- Experience working with tight tolerances (microns to 5 thou).
- Experience working with a range of materials (aluminum, mild steel, stainless, exotics).
- Ideal candidates will have experience programming for turning centers with Live Tooling and Y Axis Travel and experience with conversational programming languages.
